This original broadside advertised the Gettysburg Cyclorama Display and makes note that the painting being shown at this event is equal to the one in Chicago. Chicago was the first city to host the famous work of art in 1883, with Boston requesting a second version for exhibition beginning in 1884.
The piece is complete, with minor wear associated with its original purpose. A vertical crease is noted at center, but no breaks in the paper are observed. Minor sections of material are lost from the edges as shown, but do not detract from this rare and endlessly displayable piece. Dimensions are 6” x 13.75”.
A scarce link to one of the most famous works of war art in the world. [cm][ph:L]
