A historical souvenir paperweight made by the Gillinder Glass Co. of Philadelphia in 1876 at the Centennial Exposition. Gillinder erected a glass furnace at the exposition and made these as people watched. The paperweight has a pressed image of the Expo's Centennial Hall and was acid polished after it cooled to give it a frosted appearance. It is almost 5" across the top. [lj][PH:L]
