Very fine 9th Army Corps medal. Coin silver hanger at top is in the shape of a scroll and engraved “FREDERICKSBURG”. A “t-bar” pin and catch remain attached on the back. A blue ribbon (1.4” x 1.5”) is suspended from the hanger and has a second well-detailed silver piece attached at the bottom. From there, a small ring holds a silver, shield-shaped 9th Corps badge. The Cannon barrel and fouled anchor insignia are finely engraved on the face. Engraved on the back, “D.W. Barnabee / Co. K, 13th N.H. / 1st Brigade, 3rd Div. / 9th ARMY CORPS”.
The whole piece is in wonderful condition.
