English Delft tin glazed pottery jar features a cartouche label that reads, “MEL. UIOLAT”. This would have been a honey based elixir of violet, which was used for skin infections. Jar displays scattered surface chips, which are typical and acceptable with collectors because of use and age.

Measures 8 ½” high x 5 ½” at the base.    [SM]
