Forceps has a long thin curved nose that tapers to a rounded point. It has a tweezer like mechanism on the handle.
The overall length is approx. 7.75 inches while the curved nose is approx. 5.25 inches long.
The forceps has a nice dark patina throughout with minor surface rust on the handle.
Base of the curved nose is clearly marked “TIEMANN.”
Tiemann was one of the major suppliers of surgical sets and medical instruments during the Civil War. [ad][ph:l]
