Here is a full and still sealed wood pill box of Doctor Jacobs’ vegetable pills. The small wood cylinder with lid still has the original printed labels on top and bottom. Additionally, the container remains well sealed with a printed label pasted around the sides with additional claims and the directions for use. There is one small chip and a small crack in the “side” label otherwise complete and an amazing sample of Civil War-era quackery and “snake-oil” salesmanship. Container measures 0.75” tall x 1.4” in diameter. [jet] [ph:L]
