This japanned black tin meas. approx. 2.00 x 2.00 x 4.00 inches with a raised pewter spout at top center. Spout still retains some of the cork stopper.
The paper label has browned with age and is 75% present. At center is a shield shaped crest topped by a riband that reads “USA --- DEPT.” The word “MEDICAL” being obliterated. At bottom of the label is “PILLS OF QUINIAE SULPH. (gr.) FORTY DOZEN.”
The japanned finish shows numerous scratches but the tin is free of any dents. [ad] [ph:L]
