A very nice US Army Artillery Bit, regulation of 1864. Made of steel and plated. Both brass “US” side bosses remain and retain most of the gilt wash. Marked “US” in two locations. About 8 ½” length, 5 ½” wide. A double rein set-up with rings and slotted side bars. A very few small areas of surface rust, but overall in excellent condition. [jet] [ph:L]
