This antique baton features nickel-plated brass appointments and a rich, rosewood staff.

An understated, vertical crack is noted in the plating of the neck of the ball top along with several slight, scattered dents in the ball top.  A slight dent is noted at the tip.  The rosewood is in good condition with no obvious drying, cracking, or splitting.  Original gloss finish is intact and retains its shine. Remnants of the cord are still present at the lower mounting hole.

Dimensions are 46” in length, with a 4” diameter (measured across the ball top).

Overall, a striking piece for the history-minded musician.  [cm][ph:L]
