This Pattern 1839 oval US belt plate is in very fine unissued condition. The brass face is bright with a few small tarnish spots. “US” stands out well.  The plate’s reverse is likewise untouched with brass “arrow” hooks.  A beautiful US Civil War belt buckle.   [jet] [ph:L]
