Civil War-era officer’s sword belt buckle. Cast brass eagle buckle with 1/2” wide hook on back. The buckle retains nice body curve and shows very little wear. Excellent detail remains even on raised elements. Wreath is part of the cast brass, not the applied silver type.
Beautiful patina overall. Eagle plate with keeper. No bench marks. Very attractive. [jet][ph:L]
