This non-dug plate has a nice smooth medium patina, with original brass finish being very bright on high areas. The detail on the eagle is very good. Some small dings are present on edge of plate.
The reverse has 100% of the lead fill and both hooks, which are slightly rusted. Maker’s mark is present and reads, “BOYD & SONS BOSTON”. [sm][ph:L]
