This is a non-dug U.S. waist belt plate. Nice piece that shows honest wear and a slight edge bend. Face has been lightly cleaned and displays bright surface. There is complete lead fill with “puppy-paw” style hooks in place.
Maker’s stamp in the lead, “W.H. SMITH / BROOKLYN” with only half of “Brooklyn” visible. [jet] [ph:L]
