Offered is a State of New York Militia plate circa 1885-1900.

The piece features a script SNY on the face, with keeper bar and tongue on the reverse. Construction is die struck rolled brass with original curvature.  Original bright finish has given to a mellow, aged patina.  Condition is very good with no damage noted. Dimensions are 2.2” x 3”.

A very nice remnant of the important militia and state guard systems of the 1800’s. [cm][ph:L]
