DUG UNION ACORN CORPS BADGE

$75.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 883-60

Brass corps badge has a darkened patina. Reverse originally featured a soldered pin with hook for attachment purposes but is no longer present. Corps badges were attached to the soldier’s hat or left side of the uniform. This avoided confusion on the battlefield as a soldier could quickly be identified. Corps badges became a great source of regimental pride to the men who wore them. Recovered in the Richmond, VA area.

Excellent collectible.

Measures ¾” across x ¾” high.   [SM]
