U.S. Army officer’s embroidered insignia for the Hardee or slouch hat. Used to pin up the brim on one side.
Spread-winged eagle of bullion thread and sequins on black velvet. Tarred cloth backing. Both wire loops have been trimmed off.
Bullion thread has tarnished; sequins remain bright. In overall excellent condition, minus the loops. [jet] [ph:L]
