This is a matching pair of major of infantry shoulder straps measuring approximately 4.5” x 1.75”. These are single bordered, infantry straps. The bullion embroidered border is in perfect condition with just the right amount of tarnishing for their age. The blue fields show little wear and retain beautiful color. The oak leaves match the borders in color and fine condition.
There is some wear evident on the undersides; more so on one strap than the other.
These straps feature brown cotton shoe string ties as their method of attaching to the uniform. The brown ties have become weak in places and do have a few repairs.
This is a very nice pair of Civil War infantry shoulder straps. [jet] ph:L]
