Strap is in very nice condition and is a bit larger than usual. In its day it was the top of the line, high quality strap sold by outfitters such as Schuyler, Heartly & Graham. It meas. approx. 5.00 inches long by 2.00 inches wide with a yellow felt rank field that has faded some and shows light surface wear at center.
Triple border is of heavy gold bullion thread with an inner and outer jaceron border. Rank field holds two bars at each end that are made of heavy bullion thread and outlined in dead bullion.
Strap is sewn to a blue cloth backing.
The underside of the strap is plain with no lining. [ad] [ph:L]
