The “Pattern 1872 Aiguillettes” showcases the design elements characteristic of the period, including elaborate braiding and detailed finishes for dress uniforms.
This aiguillette is light blue to designate Infantry. The piece is constructed of a two long woven wool cords, over 50” long connected by a button loop at top. Decorative braided portions in the mid sections, and with tasseled “waffles” on the ends. Two sliding loops allow for adjustment.
