Black leather belt has brass wreathed spread-winged eagle buckle and keeper. Features both sword hanger straps, complete with all requisite hooks, buckle and rivets.

Leather is supple and in very good condition, dyed brown on the obverse. Some slight crazing is present on belt, while the straps show heavier crazing and flaking. All stitching on leather is tight. Gilt on buckle is bright. No markings. Brass shows slight traces of verdigris on smaller pieces.  In all, a magnificent Cavalry belt rig. Great display piece.  [sm]
