CIVIL WAR OFFICER’S SWORD BELT PLATE ON AN INDIAN WAR BELT

$425.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 410-106

The body of the leather belt shows some light wear along the edges but is in otherwise very good condition. The construction of the belt looks to be wartime but the furniture and the keeper for the plate are late.

The belt plate itself is a Model 1851 officer’s sword belt plate with a stippled field with a spread-winged eagle and wreath. Reverse has the correct wartime small tongue. The details on the face of the plate are very good. Plate does have a light patina.  [ad]
