This waist belt is the type seen in Civil War photographs being worn by enlisted southern soldiers during the Civil War. Leather is well worn with moderate cracking but remains supple. Decorative tooling on the front. One full width belt loop sewn in place on one end; another narrow loop sewn where roller buckle was once attached. Other end tapers to a ¾” wide strip to fit through buckle, which is gone. Belt is approximately 2” wide and 44” long. [jet] [ph:L]
