This brass Model 1851 NCO rectangular belt plate has a good spread-winged eagle with riband, stars and shield. Applied silver oak wreath runs to the tip of the eagle’s wings. The silver of the wreath is clean.
Reverse has the tongue and a bench mark number of “954.” With the plate is a brass keeper that bears bench mark number “95”and is still attached to leather belt. Keeper and plate have a nice fit.
Leather belt is in nice condition with only very minor surface crazing. Sliding leather keeper is present. [ad][ph:L]
