Small bridle leather pouch measures approximately 4” wide x 1.5” high x 1.5” deep. Outer flap features embossed oval with “US” in the middle. Closure tab is a continuation of the outer flap. Two narrow belt loops sewn and riveted to the back. Between the loops is stamped “ROCK ISLAND / ARSENAL / E.H.S.” Brass finial on the bottom. End of closure tab stamped “140”.
A wood block drilled to hold .38 caliber revolver cartridges would have been inside, but is missing.
