Original pistol cartridge box with clean leather and tight seams. Outer flap shows some cracking to the finish, with some wear to the edges. Maker’s stamp, “Davy & Co.” running off lower point. Also stamped with “US” on lower left corner and “T.J. Shepard” (the inspector) on lower right corner. Latch tab is complete and held in place with a rivet and semi-circle of stitching. The interior of the box is good. Inner “pouch” portion measures approximately 5.25” x 3.25” x 1.15”. The back has both belt loops with light wear. Belt loops are stitched and riveted. Brass finial is present on bottom. Nice condition. [jet] [ph:L]
