$150.00 SOLD

Box is in excellent used condition.

Outer flap has a latch tab that is an integral part of the flap. Leather surface is smooth and clean with almost no crazing visible.  Latch tab is solid. Center of flap has a faint US Sub-Inspector’s mark.

Inner flap shows more crazing on its surface than the outer. Both ears are intact. There is a maker’s mark that is difficult to read but it is “S. H. YOUNG & CO. NEWARK.”

The interior of the box is missing the lamb’s wool and nipple pick.

The body of the box is also in excellent condition with the brass pear-shaped finial present at bottom and tight seams throughout.

Reverse has both belt loops which show a bit more crazing than the rest of the leather.  [ad] [ph:L]
