Box is in good used condition.
Outer flap has a latch tab that is an integral part of the flap. Leather surface shows heavy crazing throughout but no surface finish loss. Latch tab is solid.
Inner flap is good but shows only light crazing. Both ears are intact.
The interior of the box has the remains of the lamb’s wool but no nipple pick. The interior has been stuffed with wool to help keep its shape.
The body of the box is in good condition with an unreadable two-line maker’s mark. The brass pear-shaped finial is present at bottom.
Reverse has both well-worn belt loops which are attached by stitching and rivets.
