Box is in good, almost unused condition.

Outer flap is shield shaped with the latch tab being a separate piece sewn to the underside of the flap. Flap is in excellent condition with a smooth surface. Latch tab is complete and shows only light wear from use.

Inner flap is also excellent and still retains both ears.

The interior of the box has only the remains of the lamb’s wool and no nipple pick

The body of the box is in excellent condition with the brass round finial present at bottom.

Reverse has both belt loops which are in excellent condition and are attached only by stitching.
