This is an excellent Civil War-era percussion cap pouch.

This pattern has the closing tab as a continuation of the outer flap. This latch tab is unbroken. A small brass letter “K” is affixed to the front flap. The interior flap has both “ears” firmly sewn in place. Unreadable oval maker’s stamp is found on inner flap. Fleece and pick remain. Bottom has brass finial.

Both narrow belt loops remain in place on back and are stitched and riveted in place. All stitching remains strong and intact. The whole piece remains in excellent shape.

A very nice Civil War cap pouch.  [jet][ph:L]
