Pattern 1864 US cartridge box in good condition. The outer flap is embossed “US”. The latch-tab is stitched and riveted. The inner flap retains both ears. No makers mark present. The implement pouch is complete with the exception of the latch tab that is missing. The bottom of the box features the typical brass finial and both roller buckles. Both tins remain and were never fitted with dividers.

This entire box exhibits light wear and appears to have been treated with a conditioner at one time, but displays well. Surface finish exhibits light cracking on the implement pouch flap. Stitching is good and tight in all places. Overall, this cartridge box is nice and solid. [stp][ph:L]
