This is a brown leather belt holster in good condition for a Colt .32 caliber percussion pocket revolver with a 5-inch barrel. The holster is a simple three-piece construction of the body and flap in one-piece, with an open toe and the belt loop and retaining strap for the flap billet simply sewn on. The finish is good and the stitching is tight. The billet retaining strap has a short slit cut in it, perhaps to allow the billet to pass through and more securely hold it. The holster holds the pistol with the butt to the rear and would fit in an early western display or Civil War grouping since these pistols and holsters show up frequently in photos of officers and the occasional enlisted man who posed with one before his company commander could make him return it to the well-meaning folks back home.
