This is a non-regulation, left facing, black leather holster made for a small frame revolver. Likely a short barrel “police” type determined by impressions in the leather. A cylinder shape is visible, a raised barrel wedge shape is found on the back side, and octagonal barrel lines are visible at bottom “plug” end.
The holster “pocket” measures 6.75” along its front edge. Holster is made of a single piece of black bridle leather, folded and sewn along the back seam with the large flap also folded over. A belt loop is sewn to the back. The leather closing tab is an extension of the flap and remains complete and unbroken. A strap is sewn to the front that this tab slides under to hold flap down. The flap and tab show some crude, light edge tooling. Belt loop is approximately 1” wide and will fit a 1.75” wide belt. There is no plug closing the end. There are no maker’s stamps.
In overall very good condition, this holster shows use. [jet] [ph:L]
