This non-regulation holster is likely of commercial manufacture and was intended to accommodate a M1860 Colt Army Revolver.  Measuring 14” in length from the top of the flap to the closed tip, the holster appears to have been wholly unused.  All stitching remains strong, while crazing is noted across the outer layer of finished leather.  The body and flap remain supple and free of major cracking.  A brass finial secures the flap, which was constructed in a way that would leave the hammer of the pistol exposed when housed. A 3.6” belt loop can accommodate a 2.5” width belt and remains in good condition.

This would be an ideal holster for display and a great representation of a more personalized duty holster for the refined officer or civilian.  [jet][ph:L]
