Leather scabbard is in good condition. The black leather body shows only light wear and with minor chips to finish. Slightly flexible, particularly in one spot approx 4" above the brass tip, but no breaks. Stitching is complete with no splits. Brass tip is in place and is undented. Scabbard frog is heavily tarred and has two brass “eagle” buttons. The thin “belt loop” near the throat has a small (1/2)” piece missing. A canvas shoulder sling would have been attached to these buttons.
A nice militia scabbard. [jet] [ph:L]
