Original early production black bridle leather scabbard.
The leather body is in nice condition with a good tight seam running up the back with only minor crazing to the finish. Brass scabbard tip was attached with two tacks which are missing. Arched leather frog is in good condition.
The frog has two rivets and is attached to the scabbard by stitching. All leather is in good condition. Frog is unmarked.
A fine scabbard just waiting for a bayonet. [jet] [ph:L]
