Original black bridle leather scabbard with bridle leather frog. This was an American-made replacement scabbard for the four-sided Austrian Lorenz socket bayonet (bayonet not included). The body is in fine condition with surface scuffing. There are no breaks or separation in any of the stitching. Brass scabbard tip was attached with two tacks; one remaining, leaving the tip slightly wobbly.
Arched leather frog is in like condition. The frog is two rivet style and is sewn to the scabbard. Frog has no visible maker’s mark or inspector’s stamps. [jet] [ph:L]
