The kit comes housed in a wood box that shows light wear and minor scratches to the outside surface. The box meas. approx. 10.00 x 4.75 x 2.00 inches. It has brass hinges on the back of the lid and an inset brass key escutcheon on the front though no key is present.
On the underside of the lid is a black felt rectangular pocket that houses a very nice brass protractor held in place by a silver rotating arm. The lid to this compartment is opened and closed by the use of a small pull tab.
The lower portion of the box holds a tray that is lined in black felt and cut out to hold 15 different pieces. All but two are present. Lifting the tray exposes a storage compartment that holds two wood angles that are marked “L. H. ALLEN.” The same compartment also holds an “L” square and three brass tacks.
All the tools operate properly. [ad] [ph:L]
