A pair of cast bronze bookends showing the image of the Lincoln birthplace cabin. The cabin, trees and grass had been highlighted in color when this set was manufactured. Located on the reverse side at center is a raised circle with the foundry letters of C J O; the mold number 9673 is at the bottom of the base. This set was probably cast in 1909 for the centennial birthday celebration of Abraham Lincoln. Each bookend measures 4” in height by 5”length with a base lip at 2 ¼”.  [ra] [ph:L]
