Offered here is a very nice set of brass campaign candlestick holders. These are often referred to as "donut" candlesticks or Brighton Buns. This set measures 3 inches in diameter and has no overt damage, save for some light oxidaion. The halves of this set measure just over 3.25” in diameter. Anecdotal evidence suggests soldiers and officers sometimes purchased a set and would divide the responsibility of carrying the donut.
A rare and neat piece for the detailed collector of Civil War personal items. [CM][ph:L]
