The tapered crown and inner brim are constructed of alternating bands of horsehair braid and wheat straw woven with a dagged edge. The outer edge of waved brim is composed of wider bands of woven straw in light and dark shades. The brim is slightly turned up in the back. The back of the hat is accented with a cluster of paper flowers and seed pods and loops of wide silk grosgrain ribbon with knotted fringe ends. The crown has a thin tissue paper lining. Measurements: 12" diameter overall. Brim: 5" wide. Crown - 2½" high, 5" diameter. Very good condition. [cs][PH:L]
