These cups are similar to the Civil War issue cup. The difference is that these cups do not have wire re-enforced handles and the handles themselves are stamped with a “US.”
This cup has a dark patina to its surface both inside and out. There is some light surface rust also.
Cup meas. approx. 4.00 inches tall and 4.00 inches across the bottom.
Scratched into the bottom of the cup is “CORPORAL LESLIE L. ???? CO. C 50.” [ad] [ph:L]
