This is a great example of a Civil War period combination knife, fork, and spoon in pocket knife form.
The wood handles show light wear but remain in very good condition with a fine dark patina. Knife blade, spoon, and two-tine fork all operate smoothly. The knife blade is marked “UNION / KNIFE CO.”
This “Union” utensil set was a commonly used item, sold by camp sutlers to countless soldiers. [jet][ph:L]
