Large coin silver “shovel spoon” with attractive designs. This measures approximately 9” long overall with detailed engraving on the handle, a spiral stem, and a “shovel” bowl with raised fruit and leaves.
The ornate engraving on the handle includes “G.S.L. from Penn.” Stamped on the underside is “W.S. BROWN & Co. / COIN.” The stem is in a heavy spiral pattern, and the large bowl has scalloped edges. The bowl features raised and engraved gourds, fruits, and leaves. Two additional hallmarks are at the base of the stem that appear as a dragon head over a shield.
