An attractive pair of spoons measuring approx. 8 ½” in length, each engraved on the handle in script letters, “Vandeventer / 1841 – 1891”. Perhaps they were a 50th wedding anniversary gift. The spoons are of the Lilies & Leaves pattern with a lovely design on each handle. Each is marked on the reverse, “HARRIS & SHAFER” and “STERLING”.
Though generally in very good condition, there is a good bit of tarnish to them. [ld][ph:L]
