A very simple Revolutionary War period horn spoon. While tables in Williamsburg might be set with the best ware a silversmith could offer, life on the frontier, or just a mile or so outside of town, might be a good deal more hardscrabble, with few useful materials, like horn, discarded. This would make a nice “go-with” to display next to a period hunting bag or even gear carried by a Revolutionary War soldier, who usually found the Continental Army supply system left something to be desired.
