Item is an aqua colored glass Civil War era umbrella inkwell with a molded lip. It is very, very rare to find these with the original label.  Partial label on light green paper reads, “Fir__ _rem___ / ____ PEN / INK / PREPARED BY / THADDEUS DAVIS & CO. / WARRANTED Nos 127 & 129 William St. / NEW YORK”.   Overall excellent condition, no visible chips or cracks.  [ld][ph:L]
