1938 marked the 70th National GAR Encampment and held in Washington DC from September 20-26.  The picture here was taken on September 24 and captures four former Union soldiers marching in the DC Parade. Pictured from left to right are W.A McKay of Utica, Pennsylvania; George Rudolph of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Capt. R. D Parker of Chicago, Illinois; George Kayan of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Maj. A.E Gage of Chicago, Illinois.
