This is a framed and matted large albumen print of Libby Prison in Richmond, Va. The modern gold-tone frame measures 15.5” x 14.5” and has a few small scuffs.
The large photo measures 10.75” x 8.5” and appears to be a page from an old album as the image is hand ruled and labeled with black ink on a gray base sheet. The hand written label, “Libby Prison used as a forage storehouse, Richmond, Va., May, 1865.”
