This is a large format image measuring approximately 13.5” x 10.5”. The mount has been trimmed close to the image dimensions.
The image itself is very good with fine contrast. The view is looking north, up the Hudson River with the battery in view at the bottom of the image. Five large guns (possibly 30-pounders) and a mortar are visible, with large stacks of shells next to each.
From the collection of author/publisher Dean Thomas. [jet] [ph:L]
