CDV album has brown leatherette cover with embossed design on the front and back. Four coral-colored beads decorate both front and back covers. Cover is in good condition with light wear all over, especially on the edges, spine and corners. Binding is tight.
Album has an ivory vellum lining on the inside of the front and back covers. All pages are present and intact. There is a title page labeled, "THE AMERICAN PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM". The edges of the pages are gold gilt which has retained its brightness.
The album closes with two decorative gold colored metal clasps which are still firmly attached. Each clasp is embellished with a white bead.
Album measures 5" by 6.5". It has space for fifty images.
This is a fine album for displaying a collection of Victorian images. [sl]
